Presentation together with professor Matteo Millan of the general EU-Guns project with some extra focus on the Swedish case. The seminar started with a presentation by Millan and Johansson of about 40 minutes, and was followed by a joint discussion with the seminar.Presentation by Martin Johansson and Matteo Millan of the general EU-Guns project with some extra focus on the Swedish case. The presentation started with a general outline of the EU-Guns project.  Second, there was a focus on the Italian case, and especially the paradoxical relationship between lawfulness and gun control measures made evident by public dissent between the 1860s and the rise of Fascism. Lastly, the Swedish case was presented, with a focus on Great war debates on gun control as a means to tackle political extremes. After the presentation, there was a general discussion with all the people attending the seminar.
